A picture is worth a thousand words. Adding a photo or two to a Task Item is an important workflow step to ensure that all of the pertinent information about the defect or repair is conveyed.

Desktop

Starting From a Task Item

  1. When creating or editing a Task Item, click on the 'Add Photo' button.

  2. Click the appropriate tab depending on whether you want to Upload a new photo (2a), Choose from Project Team Photos (photos that you and your colleagues have already uploaded) (2b) or Choose a Multivista Photo (2c).

  3.  If you want to upload a new photo or one of the Project Team photos, select the appropriate photo(s).

  4. Click 'Done'

  5. If you want to Choose a Multivista photo, you can decide what selection mode you wish to use to search for the photo in question.

  6. Use the Select by Photo mode to browse photo thumbnails

  7. The Date and Location filters allow you to narrow your selection.

  8. Click on the photo you wish to add to the task.

  9. Click 'Done'

  10. Alternatively, if you want to find a photo by location, use the 'Select by Floorplan' option.

  11. Click on the floorplan which has the photo location you are looking for.

  12. Click and drag the floorplan to pan.  Use your mouse-wheel to zoom.

  13. Click on the hotspot arrow which corresponds to the location you are interested in.

  14. Click on the photo thumbnail that you wish to add to the task.

  15. Click 'Done'

Starting from a Photo

  1. When browsing a photo on the Photos Tab or with the Photo Viewer, click the checkbox on the thumnbnail which corresponds to the photo you want to add to the task.

  2. From the 'Save' menu, select the List Type (QA/QC, Punch, FM) to which you want to add a photo.

  3. Select that appropriate tab depending on whether you want to Add to a new Task Item, or Add to an Existing Task Item.

  4. If you want to create a new Task Item, fill in the pertinent fields and click 'Done'

  5. If you want to Add to an Existing Task Item, use the filter controls to find the Task Item you are looking for.

  6. Select the appropriate Task Item from the list.

  7. Click 'Save to Selected Item'.

Mobile

Starting From a Task Item

  1. When creating a Task Item, tap the 'Add Photo' button or, when editing a Task Item, tap the Photo icon to show the given Task Item's photos and then (1a) tap the 'Add Photo' button.

  2. Choose from the  'Take a Photo' or 'Use Existing' options depending on whether you want to use a new or existing photo.

  3. Use you phone / tablet's native camera and photos navigator to select the photo you want.

  4. You can optionally add photo comments, adjust the photo date, album and permissions.

  5. Add photo annotations if wish.

  6. Tap 'Finish'.

Starting from a Photo

  1. View the photo you wish to add to a Task Item with the Photo Viewer.  Open the Options menu at the top right of the screen.

  2. Tap on the 'Add to Task' menu selection.

  3. Select the List Type that contains the Task Item you would like to add to.

  4. Select 'New Item' and then complete the required and optional fields to create a new Task Item to associate with the photo.

  5. Or select 'Add to Existing' and select an existing Task Item (4a) to associate with the photo.  You can use the Filters to narrow your search for an existing Task Item.

  6. Tap 'Finish'.
