Location indexing on a floorplan is the cornerstone of the Multivista system. You can add location marking pins to any new or existing Task Item. Doing so provides a quick visual overview of the number, location status of task items with this information being conveyed through colors, pin styles and tool-tips.

Desktop

Starting From a Task Item

  1. When creating or editing a Task Item, click on the 'Add Pin' button
  2. Select the floorplan that you wish to pin the Task Item to
  3. Click on the 'Add Pin' button
  4. Drag to place the Pin in the appropriate position.
  5. Click 'Save' to save the pin location
  6. Click 'Done' if you are finished adding Pins.  Otherwise, you can click the 'Add Pin' button again to add further location Pins.

Starting From a New Location Pin

  1. From the Floorplan View, click on the 'Add Pin' button
  2. Complete the required and optional fields to create a new Task Item to associate with the Pin
  3. Or select the 'Add to Existing Task Item' tab and select an existing Task Item to associate with the Pin.  You can use the Filters to narrow your search for an existing Task Item.
  4. Drag to place the Pin in the appropriate position.
  5. Click 'Save' to save the pin location

Mobile

Starting From a Task Item

  1. When creating a Task Item, tap the 'Add Pins' button or, when editing a Task Item, tap the Pin icon to show the given Task Item's pins and then (1a) tap the 'Add Pin' button.
  2. Select the floorplan that you wish to pin the Task Item to.
  3. Drag the floorplan place the Pin in the appropriate position.
  4. Tap 'Save' to save the pin location
  5. Tap 'Back' if you are finished adding Pins and wish to return to the Task Item edit screen.  Otherwise, you can tap (5a) the 'Add Pin' button again to add further location Pins.

Starting From a New Location Pin

  1. From the Floorplan View, tap on the 'Add Pin' button.
  2. Drag the floorplan place the Pin in the appropriate position and tap 'Next'.
    Select 'New Item' and then complete the required and optional fields to create a new Task Item to associate with the Pin Or select 'Add to Existing Task Item' and select an existing Task Item (3a) to associate with the Pin.  You can use the Filters to narrow your search for an existing Task Item.
